ESSENTIAL OILS OF SPRUCE + CRANBERRIES + VANILLA

A seasonal and bright blend of tart cranberries, warm vanilla and woodsy spruce.

Ditch the plastic shampoo bottles! These bars are moisturizing, have huge lather and make your hair shiny and clean.  Our 'Shampoo Bars' last approximately 80 shampoos.

Lather in hands or rub bar directly on wet hair. Scrub away removing dirt and oil. Allowing the bar to dry between uses is a must!

2.5 oz. bar wrapped in a rice based bag with a label.

Sodium cocoyl isethionate noodles (naturally derived from coconuts), cocoa butter, cetearyl alcohol, B5, emulsifier, oat oil, aloe vera powder, plant-based fragrance oil and ground cranberries.

Wow (part 1/2)

This is an initial reaction review (written 12/17/21), which will be followed up by a long-term usage review at the end of the product's life. It has three sections: Product Impression, General Impression, and Reviewer Background.

Product Impression:
I am blown away. This shampoo bar is solid, ergonomic to the hand, textured such that it doesn’t feel slippery in my grip, and smells like the holiday season. I scrubbed it on my scalp about 6 times or so and it was incredibly foamy and refreshing. The best shampoo I’ve had this year.

General Impression:
This company is so nice. I emailed them with anxious questions about vegan products they recommend to fit my scent preferences, they responded in the hour. When I got my order, they included a sincere hand written note by the person I was helped by and a free sample of Peppermint Lip Balm (also vegan). Mountain Madness Soap Co. provides a quality of service unmatched by any competitor I’ve done business with.

Reviewer Background:
I never write reviews. I have been using bar shampoos for a year and moving to a vegan and minimal lifestyle the past two years. First I was using a "collaborative" subscription service that wasn't as transparent as I hoped. Then I switched to Amazon, which I had didn't like supporting. Finally I found this business that makes their own soap products from local ingredients and packages them in minimal ways, and does so with sincere representation of who they are.
